The whole house, gate to gate: all three bedrooms, two shared bathrooms, the wet kitchen and pantry, the dining room, the living room and the walled garden. Terra Lux is let to one group at a time, so nobody else shares it with you.

The nightly rate is set by how many of you are staying and by whether you want air conditioning. A/C cools the Family Room and the Twin Room; the Garden Room stays cool with fans.

Two double beds in one tall, bright room under the original timber ceiling. Four people sleep properly, offering genuine comfort and plenty of room to stretch out.

It is the largest of the three bedrooms and the one families take first. Book the villa with A/C and this room stays cool through the hottest afternoons. Shared bathrooms are a few steps down the corridor.

Our most flexible space easily adapts to your group, featuring two double beds. Whether you are a family with children or friends travelling together, you’ll find a comfortable setup bathed in beautiful morning light.

Fresh towels and bathrobes will be waiting for you upon arrival. Book the villa with A/C and this room is air-conditioned too.

The Garden Room

This quiet room features a lovely window looking out onto the lush greenery. It is the perfect choice for solo travellers, couples, or anyone seeking a tranquil escape.

It has the same linens, hot water and garden access as the rest of the house, and is cooled by fans rather than air conditioning.

Before you book

Check-in from 2:00 pm

Check-out by 11:00 am. Arriving on a night train or a late bus? Tell us and we will wait up.

Self-catering

The kitchen is yours. There is a market and several shops within a few minutes of the gate.

Quiet hours after 10 pm

This is a residential lane and a family house. We ask guests to keep the garden calm late at night.

Payment on arrival

Cash or bank transfer. No deposit is taken to hold a date — a WhatsApp confirmation is enough.

Terra Lux is set up for self-catering groups — pilgrims, extended families and touring parties who would rather have a whole house than a row of hotel doors.

Air-conditioned bedrooms

Book the villa with A/C and the Family Room and the Twin Room are air-conditioned. The Garden Room stays cool with fans.

Three bedrooms

The Family Room, the Twin Room and the Garden Room — together they take up to twelve guests.

Wet kitchen & pantry

Gas hob, rice cooker, kettle, fridge and a full set of pots, pans and crockery. Cook exactly what you want.

Dining for twelve

A dedicated dining room with a long table, so the whole party eats together rather than in shifts.

Walled garden

A private lawn and courtyard behind the gate — safe for children, quiet in the evening.

Two shared bathrooms

Clean tiling, and an open-air shower court off the side of the house.

One kilometre from the ruins

Close enough to walk to the Sacred City at dawn and be back for breakfast.

Off-street parking

Room for cars and a van inside the gate. Tuk-tuks and drivers arranged on request.

Fans & backup power

Ceiling and pedestal fans in every room, and lighting that rides out the usual cuts.
